Closure
Students will be researching and becoming an expert on one natural disaster. Students will be working collaboratively with a student from the other class. The students will e-mail each other information and work together to create a project of their choosing, for example, a PowerPoint, a brochure, or any other way to present their ideas and what they have learned. The closure for students will be presenting what they have learned to their class. Each student will present what they have learned throughout the unit using Skype to include the other classroom.
Since students were working with another student from another class that is in another country. Since the way that students communicated was mainly through e-mails, we would have students explain how their presentation went to their partner. That will provide the closure as students reflect on how their presentation went and how well they did while working with another student from another country.
